Coronado’s largest area is (surprisingly) not the beach… half of our little island is Naval Base! With two locations, the North Island Naval Air Base and the Naval Amphibious Base, visitors are sure to see plenty of military presence while enjoying Coronado. From morning runs with the platoon down the beach or grabbing lunch next to someone in fatigues, to various aircraft and ships cruising around and trainees jumping out of helicopters, there’s always something new and interesting to observe.
