Glorietta Bay Inn Coronado Resort is excited to participate in OH (Open House) San Diego.  OH! San Diego is organized by the San Diego Architectural Foundation and is an opportunity to celebrate architecture, urban design and public spaces in 7 San Diego-area neighborhoods including Coronado.

Coronado’s modern history began in the late 1800’s when Elisha Babcock and Hampton Story began building in Coronado and the Mansion of Glorietta Bay Inn was the home to John D Spreckels to oversee the building of The Del Coronado. Coronado Public Library, Village Theater and the Coronado Historical Association Museum will be sites to explore during the OH! San Diego 2022 schedule. Coronado is filled with great architecture that has many stories. If the Glorietta Bay Inn Mansion walls could talk, we would be in for some stories and fortunately some are told in our Mansion photos. Imagine John D Spreckels and his family swinging on the porch swings and having magnificent parties in the music room, which is now the Spreckels Music Lounge with beer, wine and light bites. If you visit during the OH! San Diego schedule, you can see the Mansion, our current Lobby,  with its original marble and read about the history of the Mansion.

With Oh! San Diego you can take self-guided and guided tours of many of Coronado's historic treasures. You must reserve your spot though! They are also running a photo contest on Instagram. Visit their website to see a list and sneak peek of properties taking part in this event and all information on the event.
